DES MOINES, Iowa - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) gets the NCAA National Outdoor Track & Field Championships underway today as the first round of the Hawks' respective events starts tonight. Tanisha Wisdom will run in the women's 400-meter dash at 6:30 p.m. (CT) and Merrecia James will compete in the women's 800-meter dash at 5:00 p.m. (CT). Allodin Fothergill, who qualified in the men's 400-meter dash, did not make the trip to Nationals for personal reasons. Both Lady Hawks can have their races followed at the NCAA's official website with live results by clicking here. If both athletes make it out of the first round they will move on the semi-finals. James will run on Thursday at 6:15 p.m. (CT) and Wisdom will run on Friday at 8:15 p.m. (CT) on live television. |
