HAWKS IN IOWA, BEGIN OUTDOOR TRACK NATIONALS TONIGHT!

DES MOINES, Iowa - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) gets the NCAA National Outdoor Track & Field Championships underway today as the first round of the Hawks' respective events starts tonight.

Tanisha Wisdom will run in the women's 400-meter dash at 6:30 p.m. (CT) and Merrecia James will compete in the women's 800-meter dash at 5:00 p.m. (CT). Allodin Fothergill, who qualified in the men's 400-meter dash, did not make the trip to Nationals for personal reasons.

If both athletes make it out of the first round they will move on the semi-finals. James will run on Thursday at 6:15 p.m. (CT) and Wisdom will run on Friday at 8:15 p.m. (CT) on live television.
